Classroom Grant

The Indiana Council of Teachers of Mathematics will provide grants for up to $500 each in order to assist ICTM Members in grades K-12 with special classroom projects.  Projects may involve one or more teachers and one or more classes.  Applications must be submitted by February 1 or July 1 each year.

Below are additional grant guidelines:

  • Increasing student engagement and mathematical understanding must be the goal of the project.
  • Proof of alignment with NCTM and/or Indiana State Mathematical Standards.
  • A building administrator letter of support must be included. 

Application for the ICTM Classroom Grant 

Professional Development Grant

The Indiana Council of Teachers of Mathematics is dedicated to the on-going professional development of its members.  We desire to help in the continuing development of teachers, particularly where local funds are insufficient.  Therefore, the ICTM has set aside up to $2000 in grants to assist with a professional development activity. Proposals must be submitted by February 1 and July 1 each year

Below are additional grant guidelines.

  • Involvement of at least five math teachers, all currently teaching in an Indiana grades K-12 school with at least one teacher a confirmed current member of the ICTM. 

  • A detailed budget is required.  

    1. Allowed expenses for the funds: speaker fees, purchase of books or training materials, or  conference registration fees. 
    2. Expenses not allowed are travel expenses, teacher stipends, or substitute pay.  
  • The school or corporation must support the grant by contributing a minimum of $100 directly to the project or paying a minimum of $300 in related expenses not covered by grant funds.
