Call for Conference Vendors
ICTM is Going Back to the Future!
This year the Indiana Conference of Teachers of Mathematics is going back to a conference focused on all things MATH! This RETRO themed conference will focus on futuristic ideas for engaging all students in being problem solvers. Strands include (but are not limited to):
1. Back to the Basics: Revisiting Fundamental Concepts in Mathematics: Going back to the roots of math by revisiting foundational concepts and exploring their significance in the scaffold of skills
2. Mathematic Remix: Blending Old and New Perspectives: Mixing classic math concepts with modern innovations and strategies
3. Throwback Tech: Retro Computing in Mathematics: Exploring the role of programing, coding, and algorithms in computational methods today.
4. Nostalgic Numbers: Exploring Mathematical Curiosities and Oddities: Investigating quirky mathematical phenomena, puzzles, paradoxes and mysteries as engagement techniques.
5. Mathematical Heritage: Preserving and Promoting Mathematical Culture: Reflecting on the rich cultural heritage of math from around the world and exploring efforts to make math equitable for future generations.
6. Retro-futurism: Imagining Mathematics of Tomorrow, Inspired by Yesterday: Exploring the possibilities of tomorrow's mathematical landscape.
Exhibit tables are available on a first come, first served basis. Each space includes:
- Two staff registrations. Exhibitors will be billed $50 for each additional representative.
- One 45-minute presentation slot. Program proposals must be submitted separately and are subject to approval by the Conference Planning Committee. Deadline for submission of proposal is November 8, 2024. Any additional presentations will have a $50 fee. The sale of products is prohibited during sessions. - Lunch tickets for both days for up to two registrations (additional lunch tickets can be purchased on-site).
- Access to electrical outlets (if needed).
You can bring your own table cloth and have a backdrop that fits behind your table. If you select two tables, you can arrange your tables in the space provided to meet your needs.
Table Location:
Once we receive your registration, we will email you with a floor plan of the table locations. You can select your top three choices. ICTM will make every attempt to accommodate your request.
Payments:
Payments for table rentals can be made by check or credit card. Credit card payments will be processed through Affinipayllc (ICTM will be specified in the transaction). All checks should be made payable to ICTM and sent to Melisa McCain, Franklin Community High School, 2600 Cumberland Dr, Franklin, IN 46132.
Cancellation Deadlines and Fees:
Administrative Fees will be applied for cancellations prior to December 23, 2024. Fee schedule is below:
(1) One Table Commercial and Non-Educational Community Table Space - $100
(2) Two Tables Commercial Table Space - $250
(3) Not-for-Profit Table Space - $50
After December 23, 2024, exhibitors are responsible for full booth cost.
Exhibit Hours:
- Exhibit set-up: Friday, January 23, 2025 (3:30 - 6:30 p.m.)
- Exhibit Hours: Saturday, January 24, 2025 (Set-up from 7:00 - 9:00 a.m.; conference from 9:00 - 4:15 p.m.)
- Exhibit Hours: Sunday, January 25, 2025 (9:00 - 4:15 p.m.)
- Exhibit tear-down: Sunday, January 25, 2025 (Can begin any time after lunch, and must conclude by 6:00 p.m.)
Rules & Regulations:
1. Exhibit management will provide security personnel during the hours the exhibit area is closed. However, the exhibitor is solely responsible for their own exhibit material and should insure their exhibit against loss or damage.
2. Exhibit tables must be staffed during exhibit hours. Each exhibitor must wear an official exhibitor's identification badge provided ICTM.
3. ICTM reserves the right to make modifications to the exhibit hours as may be necessary to meet program needs.
4. The exhibitor agrees not to dismantle or pack his/her display before the close of the exhibit and subsequent designated tear down time.
5. Any exhibitor selling merchandise agrees to abide by all state and local regulations, and, if necessary, for collecting and submitting payment of sales tax to the appropriate legal authority.
6. Exhibitors, or their agents, shall not injure or deface the walls or floors of the buildings, tables, or the equipment of the tables. When such damage appears, the exhibitor is liable to the owner of the property so damages.
7. Helium balloons are not allowed.
Advertising
All exhibitors will be highlighted in the online mobile app (WHOVA). This app includes access to the conference program, networking, and the attendees of the conference. Each exhibitor will have a special place in the Exhibitor Hub. The app is capable of sending out messages to the attendees for special events during the conference.
