Many Minds. Many Paths. One Math.

Call for Speaker Proposals

This year, the Indiana Conference of Teachers of Mathematics is focused on celebrating and acknowledging the many paths taken in the ONE world of MATH! We all know that mathematics belongs to EVERYONE and we want to support the teaching and learning of mathematics by spreading this message. Strands include (but are not limited to):

Leadership and Professional Learning: Coaching, PLCs, school improvement, teacher leadership, implementation, and professional development.
Curriculum and Course Design: Standards alignment, curriculum development, pacing, task selection, course pathways, and instructional resources.
Effective Instructional Practices: Classroom routines, discourse, collaboration, questioning, problem-solving, and student-centered instruction.
Conceptual Understanding and Mathematical Reasoning: Number sense, representations, connections, proof, reasoning, productive struggle, and procedural fluency built from understanding.
Belonging, Identity, and Access: Math identity, equity, inclusion, culturally responsive teaching, multilingual learners, special education, and reducing math anxiety.
Assessment, Feedback, and Grading: Formative assessment, standards-based or mastery grading, feedback, data use, common assessments, and student reflection.
Engagement, Intervention, and Student Support: Curiosity, games, creative mathematics, student agency, perseverance, relevance, and making mathematics enjoyable.
Technology, AI, and Real-World Applications: Educational technology, artificial intelligence, calculators, Desmos, GeoGebra, virtual learning, and responsible technology use.

Deadline for Proposals: December 4, 2026

We welcome a diverse set of speakers with the goal of enriching the experience of conference attendees. Proposals should focus on the presenters' work and not offer any endorsements to specific products or services available on the market or for a fee. Commercial organizations need to register as an exhibitor.

You will be asked for the following information:

Session Title: 15 words or less

Session Description for Attendees: short, attendee-facing description (50-75 words)
Proposal Description: a slightly longer explanation for reviewers that addresses what participants will experience and learn and includes 2-3 learning outcomes (250 words)
Strand Connection: choose the strand your session connects to most

Audience for Your Presentation: who your session will connect with most

Presenter Information: Short Bio (50-100 words)

Co-presenters Information: List of co-presenters, their emails, their titles, and their institutional affiliation. (will have to register at full price)

We will provide free WiFi at the school, a classroom to present, a screen, and an LCD projector.

Presenters need to bring their own laptop, as well as an adapter for the projector if needed.

The lead presenter of each accepted proposal will receive registration for the conference at no cost.

Vendors wishing to present must register as vendors or sponsors.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Priority deadline registration is open until Friday, January 22nd, 2027. After that, registration is available on site at the same rates but no meals included.

All LEAD Presenters and Award Recipients will receive a Complimentary Conference Registration. If you are interested in being a lead presenter, please submit a Speaker Proposal.

Purchase Orders are accepted. Please send purchase orders by email to mccainm@franklinschools.org or by mail to Indiana Council of Teachers of Math, 122 S. Indiana Street Bargersville, IN 46106.

All checks should be made payable to ICTM. Please send checks made out to Indiana Council of Teachers of Math, 122 S. Indiana Street Bargersville, IN 46106.

Requests for sign language interpreting services must be received by January 8, 2027. There is a place in the registration form to submit this request.

Check-In for the conference will begin at 7:30 am on Saturday, February 6th.

Parking is free: Use this map and park in lots E & F and then enter in doors 54/55.

Conference registration is non-refundable after January 8, 2027.

Exhibit tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each space includes:

One 6' table

Two chairs

Two staff registrations (Exhibitors will be billed $50 for each additional representative.)

After registration, if your organization wants to be considered for a 45-minute presentation slot, please contact conferencechair.ictm@gmail.com with your presentation proposal. You will be contacted by email with information concerning your session.

Lunch tickets for both days for up to two registrations (additional lunch tickets can be purchased on-site).

Access to electrical outlets (if needed).

You can bring your own table cloth and have a backdrop that fits behind your table. If you select two tables, you can arrange your tables in the space provided to meet your needs.

Table Location:

Once we receive your registration, we will email you with a floor plan of the table locations. You can select your top three choices. ICTM will make every attempt to accommodate your request.

Payments:

Payments for table rentals can be made by check or credit card. Credit card payments will be processed through Affinipay LLC (ICTM will be specified in the transaction). All checks should be made payable to Indiana Council of Teachers of Math, 122 S. Indiana Street Bargersville, IN 46106.

Exhibit Hours:

Exhibit set-up: Friday, February 5, 2027 (3:30 - 6:30 p.m.)
Exhibit Hours: Saturday, February 6, 2027 (Set-up from 7:00 - 9:00 a.m.; conference from 9:00 - 4:15 p.m.)
Exhibit Hours: Sunday, February 7, 2027 (9:00 - 4:15 p.m.)
Exhibit tear-down: Sunday, February 7, 2027 (Can begin any time after lunch, and must conclude by 6:00 p.m.)

Rules & Regulations:

1. Exhibit management will provide security personnel during the hours the exhibit area is closed. However, the exhibitor is solely responsible for their own exhibit material and should insure their exhibit against loss or damage.

2. Exhibit tables must be staffed during exhibit hours. Each exhibitor must wear an official exhibitor's identification badge provided ICTM.

3. ICTM reserves the right to make modifications to the exhibit hours as may be necessary to meet program needs.

4. The exhibitor agrees not to dismantle or pack his/her display before the close of the exhibit and subsequent designated tear down time.

5. Any exhibitor selling merchandise agrees to abide by all state and local regulations, and, if necessary, for collecting and submitting payment of sales tax to the appropriate legal authority.

6. Exhibitors, or their agents, shall not injure or deface the walls or floors of the buildings, tables, or the equipment of the tables. When such damage appears, the exhibitor is liable to the owner of the property so damages.

7. Helium balloons are not allowed.

Advertising

All exhibitors will be highlighted in the online mobile app (Sched). This app includes access to the conference program, networking, and the attendees of the conference. Each exhibitor will have a special place in the Exhibitor Hub. *More information to follow once you are registered as a vendor.

Cancellation Deadlines and Fees:

Administrative Fees will be applied for cancellations prior to January 1, 2027. Fee schedule is below:

(1) One Table Commercial and Non-Educational Community Table Space - $100

(2) Two Tables Commercial Table Space - $250

(3) Not-for-Profit Table Space - $50

After January 1, 2027, exhibitors are responsible for full booth cost.
